Hello, everyone. How are you guys doing? I know it's been too long since I updated last, I seem to be slipping into this terrible trend. Things have just been very hectic in my life lately if not overwhelming...
Work is work. I still enjoy it and am still working towards a promotion as far as I know (my boss has been out sick for a week with strep so I've had zero communication). I'm losing touch with some friends I'm not terrible worried about losing touch with and I'm regaining relationships I've been missing.
A couple of weeks ago we got a call from my grandmother telling us that my aunt was in the hospital and was very sick. She had gone in for a hysterectomy, which isn't something to be concerned about, and it had gone terribly wrong. They nicked her bowel and she had to go through three more surgeries in an attempt to fix it. The problem was that they couldn't. Later we got another call telling us that my aunt was dying and had a matter of hours left. My aunt was 52...it seems so unfair that a stupid mistake would take her life.
So, I've been in Montana for a week and a half and am now home. I was able to be there for my cousins who are far too young to be losing their mother (and one just had a baby). That has been the biggest rift in my life recently.
My parents leave for sunny Florida in two days to visit my grandparents. I meant to go but work was so slow getting back to me about vacation time that now I can't. Part of me is upset, but another part is happy to have a week off to sit around and do absolutely nothing. I haven't done that in a while. I plan to visit my grandparents in the fall, so at least there are no worries there.
We're remodeling our house because my sister is getting married in July and we're planning to have several guests staying here. It's exciting to see the walls go from white to colorful. That's been fun.
Final Fantasy XIII recently came out and it's taking everything in me not to run out and buy it... My birthday is in April so hopefully I'll get it then...lol.
In about a month I'm going to see my favorite comedian (and late night host) Craig Ferguson. I'm so excited!
I do have music (finally...I know). I don't know about radio-worthy stuff but I've got some great new releases I think you guys will love along with some oldies that are good too. I hope you enjoy them, there are quite a few of them to make up for my absence!"Pyramid (Single Version)" - Charice ft. Iyaz (This is the final version of this song now available on iTunes. It's a great song that, like I said before, will definitely be on the radio!)
http://www.mediafire.com/?lc2zojmzd2y
"Together Again" - Evanescence (This is an unreleased song from their album "The Open Door". It's PHENOMENAL! Hopefully it'll be on their new CD which is slated to be released this fall)
http://www.mediafire.com/?jqyrzvg5jzl
"Automatic" - Tokio H-o-t-e-l (This is a great, electric song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?khubqn4ymxy
"Bury Me Alive (Single Version)" - We Are the Fallen (This is a premiering band made up mostly of ex-Evanescence members. They're really good, I HIGHLY recommend you listen to this song!)

"For Your Entertainment" - Adam Lambert

"Never Enough" - Epica (Nothing new but VERY good)
http://www.mediafire.com/?ydwz4zz1wyo
"Seasons" - The Veer Union (A darker song that's really good)
http://www.mediafire.com/?muifwmgczzg
"Spellbound" - Lacuna Coil (Nothing new again but a great song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?wjgjtqwt3j4
"War" - Jay Sean (A great slow song by the artist that brought you "Down" & "Do You Remember?")
http://www.mediafire.com/?drtydm0vol1
"Fade Away" - Breaking Benjamin (One of the best Breaking Benjamin songs I've heard in a long time)
http://www.mediafire.com/?nhgwkzmzdd0
"My Hands" - Leona Lewis (This is the theme for Final Fantasy XIII. It's also featured in the ads...it's a good song...but besides the chorus it doesn't fit the game AT ALL)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zxyj3mtkymo
"Sanctuary (After the Battle)" - Utada Hikaru (This is the ending of the game Kingdom Hearts II. It's very hard to find the official copy not the crappy game rip and I FINALLY found it...)

Hey everyone, how are you? I'm sorry it's been so long since I wrote last, it really has been a while. I don't mean to lag on updating, but sometimes things get away from you while life gets in the way, you know?
I have some songs I'll post soon, but right now I'm just too darn tired to upload them, etc. I'm lazy, really, that's what it comes down to. I've just been really tired lately, mostly due to work.
I don't know if I mentioned it in my last post, but I'm working towards a promotion at work. It's moving so quickly. I've only been with H&M since September and I'm already working my way up. I was with Macy's for over a year and I never once got promoted. Macy's is awful...never work for them.
I'm currently in what H&M calls a "plan of action". In other words my manager lays out what I need to improve on and I work on that for three weeks. If they think I've improved enough I go into four weeks of visual merchandising training. After that I'll be sent away for two weeks to an H&M in another state where I'll work as a visual and they'll decide if I'm ready to move into the real deal training. It's nerve wracking... I've been in it for three weeks now and every day I go into work I have to be on my triple A game because I'm constantly being observed. It's tiring too. The moment I get home from work I was to collapse onto my bed and sleep until the next morning...hence why I haven't been online for what feels like years.
I'm a bit bummed however. There have been a lot of rumors lately that my all time favorite band Fall Out Boy has broken up, but they were never official. Recently, however, the members of FOB posted on twitter/facebook that Fall Out Boy is on hold and hinted at "quitting". It's still not official...but it seems pretty set it stone. Pete Wentz (their lead guitarist) mentioned that FOB could perform together again someday, who knows. I freakin' love that band...so to think they might be completely over just sucks. Oh, well, I can still love them.
I saw my ex-boyfriend today. It was a little awkward...but overall things went well. We talked, hugged and things seemed like they were back to normal friend-wise. We'll see.
I have a massive headache currently...this is due to the fact that my best friend nailed me on the forehead with her elbow.... Story of my life...sort of. We were mounting curtains for her mom and she was looking at something and I leaned under her to look too and she brought her arm down...WHAM...right in the center of my forehead. Then her mom gives me some pain killer that's made me totally wonky and exhausted. I'm starting to wonder if what I'm writing on here will sound sane by tomorrow. Sorry if anything didn't lol.
Ok...I'm going to go to bed now...I think this weekend I'll upload a bunch of songs. I have a few I think will hit the radio and a bunch that are just plain good. Hopefully you guys will like them. I'll also visit all your lovely sites and talk to you guys cause I miss you.
Ciao!

Assassin's Creed II

see relatedThings Are Looking Up
Hi there, how are you guys doing? I'm doing a little better, I think I'm finally beginning to get over whatever this virus is. I've been going to work regularly again and I no longer feel the need to sleep 24-7. I always love getting over a cold, it's like you can do anything...sort of.
Now that I'm getting over my cold I've caught a bad case of the travel bug. It seems like everywhere I go I see something about Italy...and I want so badly to go back there. In fact, I have a feeling I'd be perfectly happy living there, but I know I'd miss home. I just wish it didn't cost so much to travel.
I've gotten back into teaching myself Italian, but I think I might see if there's a community class offered (fat chance). I'm just not disciplined or prepared enough to teach myself Italian and I can't exactly afford Rosetta Stone. I'm also trying to brush up on my German and French...mostly I'm dedicated to Italian. I still remember a lot of the German I learned in high school, but my French is sketchy.
I was talking to my friend about my blog here and how I few a few friends who regularly visit and who I regularly talk to. I'm grown rather fond of you guys :] I mentioned to her that I didn't know a lot about who you were beyond your Xanga's, and she made a good point when she said you probably didn't know a lot about my either...so I had an idea. I thought for this post, not only would I post some new music but a very general explanation of who I am. Then, if you feel like you want to, you could post something similar in your response. It doesn't have to be deep dark secrets, just who you are, what you love, etc. I like to know about my friends so I thought it was only fair that you knew about me. Ok, here goes:
First and foremost I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I lived through three earthquakes (one of the was the 1994 Northridge earthquake that measured in at 6.7) and the Rodney King Riots. After that we moved to Rochester, Minnesota and three years after that to Northfield, Minnesota (where Jesse James was "defeated"). I went to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota (near Fargo, ND) where I majored in fashion designed (with a focus in visual merchandising) and minored in art history (with a focus on the high Italian Renaissance).
Not so detailed stuff about me: I absolutely love animals...my favorite is the Oriental Otter. I've been a vegetarian since birth and currently am for animal rights reasons.
My very favorite subject is art history. I'm madly obsessed with the High Italian Renaissance and my favorite artists are Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarotti, Michelangelo Caravaggio, Jean August Ingres and Lorenzo Bernini.
I've been overseas once. It was for an art history trip to London, England...Paris, France...and Florence, Italy. I loved it...the travel bug has plagued me since.
My favorite color is...I don't know. I love red, yellow, pink, cerulean, black...it changes weekly between those five.
I love thunderstorms and tornadoes. They fascinate me. I was once a licensed storm chaser, but college sort of got in the way.
I hate living in Minnesota... Part of me loves this state (when it comes to cabins, woods, etc.) but the other half of me is BORED TO DEATH.
I have family all over the counter/world. My dad's family lives in the south but is originally from Italy, so I'm 50% Italian. My mom's family lives in the US, but that side has strong British/Irish ties.
I have a sister. We get along...sort of.
I have a cat. I'm in love with me cat...my best friend claims I'm obsessed with my cat...she IS adorable...and only has three legs (we found her that way)
I wish I were born in Italy in the 1500's. I really do.
I'm an artist...of sorts. I love to design clothing, sketch/draw and use pastels. I also love graphic design. I'm incredibly insecure about my art and only like two of my pieces...sort of (I'm on Deviant Art: http://artemisraine.deviantart.com/)
I love to write. I'm currently working on two pieces I hope to publish someday. One is a dark story titled "Hunted" and the other is somewhat fantastical and is called "The Goddess of Arnesia".
I love to play video games. I currently own a PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 3. My all time favorite games are Kingdom Hearts II, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy X-2. I also enjoy Assassin's Creed, God of War, Silent Hill, Rule of Rose, Devil May Cry and Pokemon. I hate Nintendo...except for the DS (lol).
For now I think I've blabbed on enough. That's just some stuff about me. So, if you're up to it, will you do the same? I want to know about you guys, you seem so interesting to me!!
OKAY...now that that short novel is over, here are the songs for this week. I do have one song I think will make it on the radio and several that are just plain good.
Radio Worthy
"Pyramid" - Cherice ft. Iyaz (If you like Jordin Sparks you'll like this girl from the Phillipines. While the lyrics are cliche it's got a good melody)

"The Highwayman" - Loreena McKennitt (A sad legend turned into a beautiful song)

The Passion of Artemesia
By Susan Vreeland
see related*cough cough*
Hey everyone, how are you? I know it's been a while...a REALLY long while...it's sort of pathetic, really. I know I say I'm terrible at updating, but this time I had a legit reason. I...am...sick.
Ugh, I hate being sick...probably more than anything else I hate (and believe me...there's a list...). I hate bad drivers, winter, the color orange and the sounds people make when they eat...but being sick...oh, man...
I don't really know what I have. I don't know if it's the good ol' H1N1 or a bad case of death, but whatever it is it loves me and has been hanging on for dear life for a couple of weeks now. Of course I'm kidding about H1N1. I went to the doctor recently and he thinks I have the flu. Here's a fact you should know: my doctor's an idiot...
I've been in and out of work for the past couple of weeks because I hate calling in sick, but going in just seems to make things worse. Other than that I've been sleeping a lot and playing Assassin's Creed II. It's starting to get better, hence the FINALLY updating here...but alas, I'm not really up to choosing, uploading and posting any songs. I don't really have any good ones...well, a couple, but next weeks list will hopefully be massive and ridiculously awesome (I say this loosely).
Moving on...I'd like to expand on another thing I hate. Winter. Does anyone else here hate winter? I makes me want to...I don't know...but it makes me want to. I hate shoveling, luckily I've gotten out of that this year. We've had two big snow storms and they interfere with life as that bothers me.
I think I'm just negative today lol.
Before I made friends with this lovely virus I went to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see a touring exhibit called "The Louvre & the Masterpiece". If I haven't mentioned this already I'm absolutely in love, if not obsessed with art history. Why I minored and didn't major in it I'm beginning to question, but either way I love it. It's like my nerdy passion...but while most girls are falling head over heels for Johnny Depp I'm passing out at the mention of Leonardo da Vinci (no...not because I think he's hot). It was an amazing exhibit. I've been to the actual Louvre once in 2007, but they had piece I'd never seen. There was a piece from one of da Vinci's notebooks, a sketch by Michelangelo, a painting by Ingres and de la Tour. It really was cool and of course I made sure to buy a couple of books for my "light reading". I'm a nerd...I own it.
What else did I manage to do before this...? Hm...oh! I saw a couple of movies I saw "Avatar" and "Sherlock Holmes". I was really impressed with both, but "Avatar" truly was breathtaking. "Sherlock Holmes" was hilarious and fun, but I've never read the books so I don't know how true it was to the original.
To occupy myself while I'm sick I've been continuing to teach myself Italian. I'm half Italian so I figured if I learned the language I could talk to my dad's side a little more. Of course the computer can't understand me when I'm trying to say "arivaderchi" with a stuffed up nose.
Ok...so now I think I'm done talking. I'm nodding off on these cold medicines. I'm going to either go take a shower or watch "V for Vendetta"...for some reason I feel the urge to watch that movie. Maybe I just need to go to bed lol.
Ciao!

LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition
By Sony Computer Entertainment
see relatedUgh...
So...it is totally and utterly official that I'm a terrible updater when it comes to anything I commit to online. *le sigh*
I'm such a procrastinator when it comes to just about anything, and for whatever reason last week I just wasn't up to updating here or anywhere else for that matter. I'm not down or anything, just lazy
I AM on the other hand pretty proud of myself. It's for a very superficial reason, but I'm proud all the same. I FINALLY managed to get myself a PlayStation 3. I've been wanting one for quite some time now...like...since they released my sophomore year of college, but I was never willing to empty my savings account to get one. So on Black Friday I went to Best Buy and got the PS3 Slim for $299 with two games for free. So far I don't have many games. I have "Little Big Planet" game of the year edition (that was one of the free games), which is incredibly fun though it's not normally my type of game. I also have Lair (which is about knights who fight on dragons) and Devil May Cry 4 (ridiculously fun! Better than the first 3 so far). For Christmas my friends are getting me Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed II so I'm excited. I'm dealing with guys at work telling me I'm supposed to buy a Wii and "girl games"...so far I'm not exactly sure what those games might be.
I'm also currently reading a book called "Good Omens" by two authors whose names I can't remember currently. For anyone that enjoys sarcasm and British humor I HIGHLY recommend this book for you. It's not slapstick humor or anything like that, but it rarely takes itself seriously and I have to say I was laughing on the very first page.
I'm getting out of my parents family plan now that I'm a "dependent" so I'm officially phone shopping. I'm really into the iPhone, but I haven't heard the greatest things lately and I also heard Apple is going to make a phone for Verizon that will be even better. The one I'm REALLY interested in is the new Droid...it looks so badass! I need to check this thing out. Anyone recommend a good phone they think I should get that won't break the bank? (Not that Droid won't...)
For the last two days the Midwest was eaten by a blizzard. Let's get one simple thing straight. I HATE snow. Loathe might even be a better word. When I see that stuff on the ground I get cranky and moody. It's pretty on Christmas and POSSIBLY new years, but before and after and even in between that...it can go somewhere I won't mention. So we're clear...I hate it. We got half a foot of snow over two days and the "winter wonderland" everyone was referring to look more like a living Hell full of white stuff that will freeze your limbs off to me. I drove home in the worst of it on Tuesday night and almost slid off a bridge. I missed work the next day, which was fine...because driving in ice and snow is so not my thing (if happens to be anyone's "thing" they should probably be admitted).
So, that's been my life the past couple of days. Work has been fine, though I left my wallet in my locker (I hope...) so scrounging for dinner here was...interesting.
The songs I have this week are once again not radio worthy. Okay, they're worthy, but it won't happen. I haven't found many radio songs lately, I guess I'll have to look harder. I just refuse to post songs by Miley Cyrus and Rihanna...it won't happen...sorry. I know those will make it on the radio, but they DON'T need to make it into my head let alone my or your computer. So, without further ado here are the songs of the week! (Can you believe it? I'm actually updating on a Thursday! *gasp*...crap...it's past midnight...)Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda...but Won't"Represent" - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (This is a new slow song from them that's really good...I highly recommend it. His voice is amazing!)"Stupid Love Letter" - The Friday Night Boys (It's pop-punk, but fun)
http://www.mediafire.com/?njwjyzyzyju
"New Grange" - Celtic Woman (This is an Irish women's group. They're really amazing. If you're into anything like, Enya, etc. you'll love them)
http://www.mediafire.com/?v3hwth3yzth
http://www.mediafire.com/?nxggltjodtz
"In the Darkness" - Dead By Sunrise (This is a great song from the band created by Linkin Park's front man Chester)
http://www.mediafire.com/?tm3ondktyuyNot In English"Bie Ren De Tian Chang Di Jiu" - Liang Jing Ru (Chinese) (This is from a Chinese drama called Wind & Cloud 2. I've never seen it but this song is phenomenal!)
http://www.mediafire.com/?raknjt3q0yy
"Tri-Angle" - DBSK ft. BoA & The Trax (Korean) (This is an amazing song with a dark feel. It features one of my favorite sings BoA in her native language)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zzzrejzkfj3
"Goodbye My Love" - S.H.E (Chinese) (This is a gorgeous song done to the music of "Walking In the Air")

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
By Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett
see relatedBlack Friday Here I Come!
Hey everyone! How are you? First and foremost I apologize for not updating last week...I'm still terrible at this! I let work take over my life, anyone else know that feeling? Anyways, so this is making up for last Thursday. I plan to update this coming Thusday as well, aka Thanksgiving! I'll have some radio-worthy songs on that post, this post on the other hand just has more music I hope you guys will enjoy.
So, I'm frightened of Black Friday. I always have been and most likely always will be. In fact this year may solidify that fear because I'm actually going to be out there with all the crazy's at 5am...well, more like 3am. This is because I've FINALLY caved in and am going to buy myself my very own PlayStation 3. I'm super psyched! I've been really good and haven't gotten once since they came out my sophomore year of college. I really wanted one but I wasn't loaded...because I was in college. So NOW I'm getting one. Best Buy has a deal where if you buy the PS3 slim for $299.99 you get Little Big Planet game of the year edition and some other game for free. The game sells for about $60 so figure that's a good deal and I REALLY want that game. So now...I have to face Black Friday.
In preparation for my PS3's homecoming (yes...it's going to be my fourth...or fifth... child after my PS2, iPod, computer and car...) I scored the game "Lair" for $20 and am getting "Assassin's Creed" as an early Christmas present from a friend. I'm like...freakin' excited. *shakes uncontrollably* Some of the people at work (mainly girls) think I'm crazy to be this excited, but one customer who overheard me said he'd date me if he could. That was strange...yet slightly flattering.
SO...other than that my life is pretty uninteresting. I went out with some friends to River Falls, Wisconsin (I know, so exciting...you're jealous). We hit some bars and had a lot of fun until this hoard (okay, so only 3) of guys crashed in. One guy was like ON my friend, which was disturbing and one of the others was making grotesque movements at me...I won't go into detail. We finally escaped and when Britney Spears' song "3" came on we got excited and had a lot of fun. One thing everyone should know...dancing like crazy to a song about threesome's is NOT a good idea when trying to avoid creepy guys who want one and only one thing from you. They appeared out of nowhere and I practically decked one of them when he yanked me away from my friends and was like, "Hey, watch, I'm a good dancer". I almost threatened to pummel him with my stiletto, until some really nice guy saved my life by pulling me back to my friends and danced with all of us...not ON us. Yes, that's about as exciting as my life gets and I felt you needed to know.
Moving on... Here are the songs for this week. Like I said, none of them will make it onto the radio (in my opinion), especially since a few of them are several years old. However, I feel they deserve recognition. I need to start writing down the songs I post...because I'm afraid I'm going to start re-posting them until you guys begin to wonder if I have early Alzheimer's.Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda...but Won't"Confusion Girl" - FrankMusik (I freakin love this song. Every time it comes on at work I sing it...very badly...but I sing it all the same)
http://www.mediafire.com/?znwti3to2wm
"Break Your Little Heart" - All Time Low (I think I already posted this song...but I'm too lazy to check the archives)
http://www.mediafire.com/?2qmmeuhjmxm
"The Fear" - Lily Allen (Okay I normally can't stand this woman, but this song I like)
http://www.mediafire.com/?otw53zny3jm
"Thinking Out Loud" - Lesley Roy (Emo pop...who ever knew it could exist?)
http://www.mediafire.com/?myiknadqnm1
"Here For You Now" - Lesley Roy (This song is great, especially the guitar)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mjdmyywmnm5
"Blow Me Away" - Breaking Benjamin (This song is FANTASTIC! It's featured in the game Halo. It's a few years old but I think it's worth a listen regardless of age)
http://www.mediafire.com/?oqlflziz2n2
"Sanctuary" - Utada Hikaru (This is the opening song for one of my favorite games Kingdom Hearts II. I heart it...and it's the English version, which helps my brain)
http://www.mediafire.com/?m3yrmny25zzNot In English"Tatta Hitotsu no Omoi" - Kokia (Japanese) (This is the opening for an anime called "Gunslinger Girl 2". I've never seen it or "Gunslinger Girl 1"...but it's an amazing song)

Hey everyone! How are you? I'm once again updating on a Thursday instead of Monday, which was my original plan, but now I've decided the site will be updated every Thursday (just watch...now I'll absentmindedly start updating on Mondays...sheesh).
So I've decided I hate the customers that come to the H&M I work at. Well, not ALL of the customers...but 99.9% of them. I used to work at the Mall of America H&M but now I've transferred to Edina, a very upscale *cough*snooty*cough* city here. It's like the Beverly Hills of Minnesota. So people essentially think I'm there to wait on their every beck and call. Perhaps that's part of my job description...I don't know...but being their MOM is not...in other words I don't enjoy cleaning up after them when they leave their dressing room looking as though a clothing bomb has detonated in it. *le sigh*
I'm currently home alone and it's monster windy outside...the creepy part is I keep hearing what sounds like someone walking back and forth on my roof dragging something... Either a) Santa is early (by the way Santa freaks me out, I thought I would share that with you) b) There's a serial killer out to get me or c) I should stop watching movies like "Paranormal Activity".
Has anyone seen the show "Lost Tapes"? It's a show where they re-enact tapes that have been found where unexplained creatures have been captures attacking them, etc. Half the time the people who filmed it are now dead...so that's nice. All in all it's...special. I mean, okay, so some of the so called tapes are pretty creepy but others WOULD be if it weren't for the hokey effects. The last one I saw was on the Jersey Devil, and it was kinda scary, but then the one about the Mothman kept me up most of the night lol (Like Santa the Mothman also scares the crap out of me).
As you can see there's a new theme. I wanted to go for more fall colors. Eventually I just need to make my own theme, but I'm lazy..therefore that may never happen.
Okay, so for this week I have this random handful of songs I wanted to share with you guys. I don't think I have any radio worthy ones once again, but I do have some goodies to share. The list is a bit ecelectic this week and especially on the darker side, but I don't think that's a bad thing :] I also posted some instrumentals, particularly one from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII that is PHENOMENAL *drools*. It's not all that new but it's rare. Enjoy!Instrumentals"Ruska" - Apocalyptica (I somehow just discovered this group today, and they are amazing!)

http://www.mediafire.com/?hnkykttmyym
"Release Me" - Agnes (Actually, this song is on the radio, I'm just too lazy to make it it's own section lol. It's a good trance song with female vocals)

Hey everyone! I missed you guys :] Sorry I didn't update last week, this new job has really been sucking up my life lol. I can't complain the hours/pay are great, but before this weekend I had been working solid for almost two weeks. Today is the last day of my three day weekend off, and I'm enjoying every minute of it!
So what did everyone do for Halloween? How was it? I didn't trick or treat (a little old I think), smash pumpkins or terrify little kids out of their candy. Sometimes I want to hunt down the people who do and give them a good kick wherever it would hurt the most.
This year for Halloween I went to something here in Minnesota called Valleyscare. It's at our amusement park Valleyfair. They decorate it up for Halloween and set up a bunch of "haunted" mazes, etc. where people try to scare you. The main reason I went was for the roller coasters lol, but it was still a great time. I was really hoping to get scared, especially enough to scream, but I only ended up jumping a few times. When it comes to the "haunted" things I usually end up giggling my way through the whole thing, one of these times I really want to get scared enough to scream.
I also went and saw the movie "Paranormal Activity" for the second time this weekend. We took a friend who had never seen it and I still loved it the second time through. Normally I love horror movies and they never scare me, but this one still managed to get under my skin and made it hard to sleep last night. I hear a lot of people say they think it's stupid but a lot say it scared the hell out of them. Have any of you guys seen it? What did you think?
I sadly don't have any songs this week that I think will make it on the radio. I have a few that are just plain good however, so for now they'll be making the cut. I also found I'm re-addicted to the Sims. For the longest time I couldn't get my computer to play them, but then I got a brain and updated my drivers and voila, it works again. So now...I'm addicted.
ANYWAYS, back to the music. Here are some songs I hope you guys enjoy. I love them and wanted to share it. Some of them are actually from the 90's, but they're still amazing:
"Kings & Queens" (Album Version) - 30 Seconds to Mars (This is a brand new single from one of my favorite bands)
http://www.mediafire.com/?2mbmwmzdkzy
"Teardrop" - Massive Attack (This is the opening for the show "House" and was also featured in an ad for the kickass PS3 game "Assassin's Creed")
http://www.mediafire.com/?ngmiyjn1yyf
"Supermassive Black Hole" - Muse (It was featured in Twilight but if you're a Twilight hater don't let that ruin it for you. It's a great song.)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mzmijrzozq0
"Forever May Not Be Long Enough" - Live (Featured in "The Mummy". It's a very cool and unconventional song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?krrnmx2gmnm
"Nara" - E.S. Prosthimus (This is the opening theme for the show "Cold Case". It's actually an instrumental and it's gorgeous)
http://www.mediafire.com/?qz2wih5jjna
"Seven Lives" - Enigma (The latest (as in 2008) from the new age band Enigma. However if you don't like new age still give it a try, it's an awesome piece)
http://www.mediafire.com/?hznjmotjtrzNot In Englishhttp://www.mediafire.com/?khyqqxwd5zy"Steins; Gate" - Itou Kanako (From the game/anime Sky-Clad Observer. A dark and very cool song) (Japanese)

"Progressive" - Kalafina (The very latest single from Yuki Kajiura's amazing band) (Japanese)

see relatedOh, so terrible
Hey guys! I've been incredibly terribly at updating lately! It's awful, and I'm sorry
I was gone all weekend for homecoming at the college I went to, Concordia College in Moorhead, MN (it's near Fargo, ND if that helps). It was a really fun time. I drank entirely too much and it was freezing but all in all it was still great.
I'm still making my way through Dan Brown's new book, "The Lost Symbol". Don't get me wrong, it's really good, I just haven't been as obsessed with reading it as I was with "Angels & Demons"/"The da Vinci Code". I also haven't been in the mood to read lately. Instead I've been a nerd and have been addicted to my Nintendo DS lol.
Recent news in my life: I broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years. It was really hard to do, but it needed to happen. Things were going so well for so long, but in the last few months it started to fall apart. The problem is it fell apart for me, not him. He was perfectly happy with the relationship and wanted it to continue, but he had noticed I had grown more distant. I just grew out of it and fell out of love. It happens, and sadly it had to happen here. Oh, well.
I've been really tired lately, I think my new work schedule is finally getting to me. When I was working with Macy's my schedule was ridiculous (5AM...ew), but I had gotten used to it (sort of). Now I'm on a much more normal, not to mention full time, schedule and it's taking some getting used to. I'm incredibly grateful for it though, so I just have to get into the groove.
Sadly, I don't have many songs for you this week. "3" by Britney Spears is now all over the radio. I enjoy the song (it's so damn catchy!), but I know if I listen to the radio much more it'll ruin it for me. I have several songs this week that I think will make it to the radio, and I have some unreleased Panic! At the Disco demos for you. Now, I'm not sure if these songs were written before or after there (technically) break-up, and I'm also not entirely sure how much I like them. If you like Panic! you should give them a try.
Alright, so here they are. I promise to get better at updating and next weeks list will be much better, I swear!
I Think They'll Make It"Bad Influence" - P!nk (Her new hit "Funhouse" is good but this song is even better)
http://www.mediafire.com/?myd4wjzwnow
"I Got You" - Leona Lewis (I LOVE the chorus of this song, it kicks "Bleeding Love"s butt!)
http://www.mediafire.com/?wmzyi0w3m2d
"Vanilla Twilight" - Owl City (If "Fireflies" made it then this song will)
http://www.mediafire.com/?ijjt1mj2o0m
"Two Is Better Than One" - Boys Like Girls ft. Taylor Swift (I've been told that a friend heard this song once on the radio yesterday, but I was planning to post this song two weeks ago so I'm posting it anyways
)
http://www.mediafire.com/?cmjytczz2dmCoulda, Woulda, Shoulda...But Won't
"Oh Glory" (Demo) - Panic! At the Disco
http://www.mediafire.com/?gnjduglwymz
"New Perspective" (Demo) - Panic! At the Disco
http://www.mediafire.com/?zyqz2yjmjzg
"Crawl Back In" - Dead By Sunrise (This is a side project of Linkin Park's lead singer Chester Bennington. Linkin Park is still going strong, no worries!)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mlmmzy2nqwm
"Sally's Song" - Amy Lee (A remake of the song from "Nightmare Before Christmas" by the lead singer of Evanescence. I absolutely LOVE that movie and thought it'd be a fun addition to the list for Halloween")

UGH! So, I've been trying to access Xanga all week and apparently I've been the lucky one it's chosen to hate this week. Lucky me
Anyways, I finally managed to get through today and am posting a handful of songs before I have to head to bed for an early (5am) morning tomorrow! (I didn't follow the list of what to expect from last week...sorry)
It's been getting REALLY cold here. Okay, not REALLY cold, but cold... I'm a wimp, and even though I've lived in Minnesota for over 10 years I still complain when it hits 55 degrees. I was born and raised in LA when I was younger, so the 80's are my cup of tea.
My mom is currently watching the Vikings vs. Packers game...*sigh*
I'm not much of a fan of football, and especially not when it comes to our "amazing", good ol' Vikings. Weird thing is she never watches football, not to mention ANY other sport...and now I hear her out there commentating like she's one of them. Very strange.
One more note before I tell you about this weeks songs: I decided to add a playlist to site thanks to the idea that I got from another friends blog (thanks!). I thought it'd be fun for a music site to have a music playlist. It'll start playing automatically when you log onto the site (it's okay if you want to pause it lol), but if there are any songs that play that you would like me to upload let me know!
This week I have a few new songs and some old ones. There are a couple I think will get on the radio, but most of them are just good for the ears (in my opinion). However, I stand corrected on one of the songs I posted a little while back. As of two nights ago the song "Fireflies" by Owl City is now on the radio. I'm wondering if any of you have heard it, because I heard it on the way home but since he's from Owatonna, Minnesota I'm wondering if it's just a Minnesota radio station thing. Just curious
I Think They'll Make It"3" - Britney Spears (The fact that it's about a threesome aside, it's a good song that you'll definitely be hearing on the airwaves)
http://www.mediafire.com/?drnznyyotnq
"Overcome" - Creed (Probably on alternative stations)
http://www.mediafire.com/?znmy5njzwmj
"Bad Romance" - Lady Gaga (This is an unreleased, not to mention crappy copy, of a new Lady Gaga song. It's weird...but then again...so is she (I'll post a better copy when one is released))
http://www.mediafire.com/?12mj5eldnihCoulda, Woulda, Shoulda...But Won't
"Devastated" - Ballas Hough Band
http://www.mediafire.com/?zotzyt5jvje
"Utopia" - Within Temptation ft. Chris Jones (It's brand new and not their normal style)
http://www.mediafire.com/?yjxoyznz1jh
"Superstar (Smash It)" - Kimberly Cole (From the "Dollhouse" OST, it's a good dance song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?2zyt2zkwkjt
"Pete Wentz Is the Only Reason We're Famous" - Cobra Starship
http://www.mediafire.com/?iznydznmnyq
"Lockjaw" - Linkin Park (A somewhat new freestyle song of theirs. No singing, just greatness)
http://www.mediafire.com/?hymtnoymnyz
"Fearless" - HR King (A cool R&B type song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?zzryyqgnnzn
"With Light Their Is Hope" - Princess One Point Five (A very different song, but it's gorgeous and worth a listen)
http://www.mediafire.com/?5yyimilyjzy
"Take It Home" - The White Tie Affair (A very fun pop-punk song)
http://www.mediafire.com/?jqyztmmmmfdNot In Englishhttp://www.mediafire.com/?kumi525ykmt"BUMP! BUMP!" - BoA ft. VERBAL (The artist who recently debuted in the US just released a new single in Japan) (Japanese)
